"DESPITE ALL MY RAGE I AM STILL JUST A RAT IN A CAGE!"
Ryan Jones (RJ): Hello and welcome to Sunday Night Rage. As you know I am the great and famous future world-renowned CNN newscaster, Ryan Jones.
Outlaw (OW): No, he's not, but I'm Outlaw.
RJ: Michael Hayes is not with us after last week, when he was named Temporary President of Global Championship Wrestling due to our former President being retired.
OW: *BANNED* is Strike's bitch!
RJ: Shhhhh! You can't say his name on television!
OW: *BANNED* this and *BANNED* that! SOMEBODY STOP ME!
RJ: Are we seeing another 'The Mask' movie?
OW: JIM CARREY IS HERE?! WHERE?! WHERE?!
"Voodoo Child" hits the speakers and the crowd roars as Mike Hayes begins walking down the ramp. He's dressed up in his new 'President FREEEEEEBIRD' attire, and is followed not only by a man who he's obviously going to introduce, but also by a fire extinguisher. Mike "PS" Hayes steps onto the steps onto the steel steps and begins walking across the apron. He gets into the ring and is handed a microphone. The crowd won't stop cheering for a long minute.
Michael "PS" Hayes (MH): It's been almost a year and a half since you heard the Freebird music. About a year and a half since I've been in a position of power in GCW ... but you see, the past can't be forgotten. I'm back!
The crowd cheers and the man behind him claps as well.
MH: Now, I'm sure you're wondering who this man is. This man's name is Henry "The Hopeless" Oswald. He is here because, after Halloween Horror, we were left in an odd position. We had me as Temporary President, so we needed someone to fill my position on the announcing team. I will be returning to my announcing position after the new President is appointed and Hopeless will become a backstage interviewer. But for the time being, he will be a new GCW commentator. I hope you all know why this happened ... Harvey Gateway and Mike Fuschino left with Mike *BANNED*, not like that's a big surprise. But out with the old, people, and in with the new.
The crowd cheers wildly for the former FiW commentator, as they now recognize him. Hopeless and Hayes nod their heads and exchange high fives.
MH: That also means that Justin Tyme, STD, and myself will be doing backstage interviews for the time being. We should have a good inaugural show into the new era for you all.
"Voodoo Child" hits again, and Henry "The Hopeless" Oswald, takes a seat between Outlaw and Ryan Jones at the announcer's table. Hayes walks backstage through the crowd as the kickoff of the New Era truly begins.
RJ: Nice to meet you, Mr. Os -
Henry "Hopeless" Oswald (OZ): You can just call me Oz, Jones. Not as much as a pleasure to meet you, Jones. Outlaw, nice to see you here.
OW: Nice to see you as well, Oz, it's been a long time since we've worked together.
OZ: Indeed it has, well let's get to it, shall we?
RJ: I agree. We've got five matches tonight. The first is between The Gladiator and Alkaline, who have both been extremely active this past week. We should be seeing an exciting kickoff match for that.
OW: Next, there's "Sensational" Scotty Ryan against The Rock in a major contendership battle for the Television Championship. Rock just recently returned, and is looking to find his niche once again. SSR is also looking to secure a spot in the title hunt.
OZ: Then it's Walter Joseph Kovacs against the returning Turrican in a match that means a lot to both superstars. Has Turrican brushed off all his dust? And can WJK prove himself against a former Georgia Champion such as Turrican.
RJ: Awesome was also a former Georgia Champion ... and Kovacs sent him to the hospital ... HELLUVA FAST!
OW: Thanks to GCW's great chauffers, Mr. T and Gary Coleman. But moving on, after that we've got the Television Championship on the line between Veritas and Brian "The American Nightmare" Storm. Veritas is looking to prove himself without the help of his partner, Walter Joseph Kovacs in this match.
OZ: It's great for a young competitor to have integrity these days, and decide to give a TV Title shot to the one who deserves it most.
RJ: And our main-event tonight is our World's Heavyweight Champion, Biocide, fighting against a former Georgia Heavyweight Champion, Cyan Dracos. That should be an interesting bout to see if Dracos can hang "with the big boys".
OW: Also, just so all the fans know, both the New Faith and Forsaken have been disbanded. Forsaken had four members at the end, and they agreed to part ways. And New Faith decided the same thing.
OZ: Well, let's get started.
RJ: We have some footage to show you from earlier today.
A man stands in an office looking out the window in a dark room. In his left hand is a cigar, in his right hand is an eyeglass. It's obvious the man is an intense businessman. He doesn't turn toward the camera, but the light from the window shows you his outline. He is fairly short, and also fairly plump. It's obvious he's not a professional wrestler, or ever plans to be one. From what you can see of his outline he is balding. A knock on the door can be heard, and a feminine voice begins to speak ...
Feminine Voice (FV): "Sir? He's here to see you."
Entity Referred to as Sir (RS): "Aye," the old man sighs, "send him in."
The camera pans around to show the young female secretary nodding and closing the door. By the time the camera turns around, the man is sitting down in his chair, and the camera is in front of him, still not showing his face. On the table is a bunch of paperwork. The door can be heard creeping open.
RS: "Ah, so you decided to come."
The camera pans up to show a man you recognize as a shareholder in Global Championship Wrestling. The man smiles a bit, and sits down across from the Entity Referred to as Sir. The papers are slid across the oak table, and the shareholder immediately begins to look them over. The Entity Referred to as Sir takes a puff off of his cigarette.
Entity 2 (E2): "So this would amount to me selling my stock, voting with you on the issue, and convincing others to vote with you?"
RS: "You make this sound as if it were a conspiracy, my friend. That is the deal. You can't say it wouldn't be in the best interest of the company. As long as I get my side of the deal, I will be happy and I will never sell my Global Championship Wrestling stock. With this going on, GCW will be in the best shape it has been in over a year and a half now."
E2: "I agree, it is a valiant plan. But have you got ... Chris ... to agree to this?"
RS: "I am confident he will go along with the deal."
E2: "He is a very stubborn man, sir, in all due respect. The man will be hard to convince to do such a thing."
RS: "I have the right tools to get him here."
E2: "As soon as you secure that Chris will come to Global Championship Wrestling, we have a deal. It will take place in a couple of weeks, so I suggest you don't take too much time in securing this deal. I'll be waiting on your phone call."
RS: "Ah ... would you like a cigar?"
The man laughs for a moment before accepting one. The Entity Reffered to as Sir slides an ashtray across the table as he puffs on his own. He quickly signs a document, and gets on the telephone.
RS: "Yes, I'd like to order a man by the name of Chris who lives on ..." *inaudible whispering*, " ... a slab and a half of your best ribs. Yes, yes, charge it to me here at the office. We got to get this guy hooked on some good pork you got there. I assure you you'll have a new customer very soon. Yes, yes, it's of course nice of you to do this. I thank you. Ah, and would you attach the following note to his order? Yes, dictation. Quote: 'I have an offer you cannot refuse, you may call me at 682-1891. Unquote.' There you go. Nice to talk to you sir."
E2: "Nice to see you getting to work all ready. This certainly will make a difference ..."
RS: "Don't be sarcastic. Barbeque is the quickest way to opening a man's brain. It loosens them up a bit. It's like when you give out a round of beers, people at a bar tend to like you. Of course Mothers Against Drunk Driving don't, but who cares about them anyway. You get the picture. You say the right things, and you get the right things. After all, we're the good guys here. He's a good guy. We just need to make sure he gets our message."
E2: "Your message, my friend. I'm just your aide."
RS: "Yes ... my message."
The scene fades back to the commentators.
OW: Who are they talking about?
RJ: The only "Chris" in GCW History that I can think of right off my brain is Bloodstorm, but he's in GCW all ready.
OZ: Not that you could tell at the moment ...
OW: Don't get too mean there, Oz. You're just a rook here.
RJ: Regardless, The Gladiator fights Alkaline next!
"Boom" by POD hits the speakers and the crowd puts their hands together for Alkaline, the late-rookie who stood up to *BANNED* at Wrestlebowl. Alkaline sprints down the ramp and slides in the ring, waiting for his new opponent.
OW: From what we've seen this week, Alkaline could be getting back into the swing of things.
OZ: That'd be nice, he was something when he was on.
RJ: But he's got a big challenge tonight in Gladiator.
T-H-E G-L-A-D-I-A-T-O-R spells out on the titan tron as "Thoughtless" by Korn begins to play on the speakers, Scott appears at the top of the ramp and begins to walk down to the ring, he rolls inside the ring and break dances until the song ends.
RJ: There's the new guy in GCW, Gladiator.
OW: Hey! That's the guy who attacked Alkaline at Horror!
OZ: ... umm ... the match is starting!

The Gladiator |
versus |
Alkaline |
|
The bell rings, and the two men lock up. Alkaline attempts to put Gladiator in a hammerlock, but Gladiator powers out and goes for a snapmare. Alkaline rolls to avoid Gladiator's stomps and gets to his feet, then irish whips Gladiator into the ropes, nailing him with a stiff dropkick as he heads back his way. Alkaline goes for the early cover- 1-2-Kickout. Both men on their feet, Alkaline starts with hard lefts and rights to the abdomen and face of Gladiator. Gladiator fights back, coming in with a spinning back kick and nearly taking the bigger man off of his feet. He tries for another spinning back kick, but Alkaline catches his leg... and Gladiator reverses it into an enziguri! Both men on the mat, Gladiator sits on Alkaline's chest and begins pounding his face hard and fast, until Alkaline comes to his senses and shoves him off. Gladiator stumbles awkwardly, and Alkaline takes advantage of the moment to catch his breath. A second later, Gladiator's back to the turnbuckle, Alkaline comes charging at him, ready for a spear- And Gladiator slips out of the ring with no time to spare, Alkaline very adeptly tackling the steel post. Gladiator gets onto the top rope and lands a devastating guillotine leg drop, then tries for the cover. 1-2-Kickout. Gladiator puts the boots to Alkaline, who by now is trying desperately to shield his neck and shoulder from Gladiator's assaults. Climbing to his feet, Alkaline bounces off of the ropes and utilizes a kitchen sink (the move, not the household appliance) to nail Gladiator in the gut. Gladiator, stunned, can do nothing to protect himself when Alkaline puts him in a headlock and uses a nasty-looking DDT. Alkaline starts stomping on the now-defenseless Gladiator, who's looking pretty beaten up himself right about now. The referee breaks up the two men, and checks with Gladiator to see if he wishes to continue the fight. Gladiator, punch-drunk, nods his head and stumbles to his feet. As soon as Gladiator is standing, Alkaline charges him again, this time the spear hits its mark. Alkaline grabs Gladiator by the hair, sticks his head between his legs, and signals for the piledriver- And Gladiator backdrops him. The two men, weary and barely conscious, lie next to each other, and the referee begins the ten-count. 1-2-3-4-5. at this point, the two wrestlers both begin the long struggle to their feet, making it there at almost the exact same time. Alkaline goes for yet another spear... and Gladiator reverses it into an irish whip into the turnbuckle! Gladiator uses the last bit of his strength to go for the Death Trap, but instead of a sleeper hold, settles for a cover. 1-2-3... it's over.
OZ: Gladiator defeats Alkaline after a hard-fought match!
RJ: Yeah! Gladiator rules!
OW: We can expect some good things out of these men for some time to come.
OZ: Definitely.
RJ: We've got some Rage-O-Vision footage for you to watch.
OW: More footage?
The screen goes black and then with red and black the words Creed, My Sacrifice are written. Then, the music starts slowly and we hear He Hate Me's voice:
"The desire that I carry. I mean it almost overrides everything. Every night I am ready to lay it all on the line, my family, my health, my name ... Everyone hears me saying that I am the KING OF XTREME, well I will keep on holding that title until someone else comes in and takes me out!"
The song now starts
As the song starts see shots of He Hate Me in the XFL. We see him getting passed the defense of the Los Angeles Xtreme and scoring a Touchdown.
Hello my friend we meet again,
it's been a while, where should we begin,
feels like forever,
We've seen our share of ups and downs,
oh, how quickly life can turn around,
in an instant.
Now we see shots of He Hate Me as he wrestles in the TPG, defeating Archie Henderson for the right to get to GCW.
When you are with me, I'm free,
I'm careless, I believe,
Above all the others, we'll fly,
this brings tears to my eyes.
My sacrifice.
Now we see He Hate Me defeating JaX, in that match that got He Hate Me the XTREME Title of GCW.
It feels so good to reunite,
within yourself, and within your mind,
Let´s find peace there.
within my heart are memories,
of perfect love that you gave to me,
oh I remember.
The shots shown now are appearing and disappearing quickly one fading into the other. They show He Hate Me delivering Da Bomb to various wrestlers, and also we see He Hate Me spraying the word HATER in various wrestlers' backs.
When you are with me, I'm free,
I'm careless, I believe,
Above all the others, we'll fly,
this brings tears to my eyes.
My sacrifice.
"I hope all the fans out there ... I hope they understand that I have given it all I could day in and day out… I hope they know that the only reason I am coming back… the only reason I am coming back is that adrenaline rush you get when you hear the crowd pop!"
When you are with me, I'm free,
I'm careless, I believe,
Above all the others, we'll fly,
this brings tears to my eyes.
My sacrifice.
We see He Hate Me crawling out of the ring after an excruciating match and the fans are heard yelling "HATER". This showing the intensity of He Hate Me as he crawls out fades to the black and red lettering of the words CREED, My Sacrifice. The camera is back on the commentators.
OW: Next we've got THE ROCK against "SENSATIONAL" Scotty Ryan. Two fan favorites that will be tearing into each other.
OZ: No doubt, it should be a good match.
RJ: It's for a higher Television Contendership, and it's NOW!
"If ya SMELALALALALAL what the ROCK is cookin'!" is proclaimed loudy by the rock and "Electricity" hits and the crowd goes WILD for the People's former Television and Tag-Team Champion, THE ROCK!
OZ: He's BACK, folks.
RJ: Have mercy ...
OW: And heeeeeeeeeeere's SCOTTY!
"Across the Nation" by Union Undeground hits the speakers and the crowd cheers extremely loudly for the Television Championship contender named "Sensational" Scotty Ryan. They cheer him in spite of the fact that he lost at Horror to Storm and Veritas.
OW: Are we ready for the most ELECTRIFYING match ... within the next five minutes?!
OZ: Oh yeah!
RJ: This match is going to be hell ... I don't know who I want to win!

Rock and SSR look at each other, and shake hands! Rock raises SSRs hand in the air as all the fans go crazy!)
OW: ROCK WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION!
OZ: That was definitely a close match. I thought SSR had that won!
RJ: Well, some interference got Rock the win by disqualification. Kerr kicks!
OW: More footage is on now.
Within a second the music stops and there is a deadly silence among the crowd for almost a minute as a video hits the tron...
...The scene switches to the front gates of the arena. The area is dark and the only light that can be seen is from a streetlight hanging high into the air. A shady figure is scene standing at the front gates holding a Singapore Cane is his right hand. The camera moves slowly closer and closer to the figure until it is revealed as Raziel. He stands waiting in the chilling cold of the night, breathing hard as his lower face is shrouded in darkness. He paces back and forth a few times then stands looking out into the parking lot.
"...Hide whildst you can, you can't run forever..."
...Raziel swings the cane around and holds it in front of his face and smiles with an evil grin...
"...He'll be here, he never misses a show, and when he does...I'll be ready."
"...And when I find him, *swings the cane around again* Oh yes, I?ll be ready. I'll strike when he least expects it, I'll be lurking in the darkness of his own shadow, feeding on his fear, on his cold sweat..."
"...And if I can?t find him tonight, then I'll find him soon enough, because he can?t run from what he can't see..."
"...But if I can?t get him tonight, for some odd reason...I'll still be in the shadows of his own fear, praying on his own mind, slowly he shall decay from the inside, wither up and become nothing more than a pool of his self-pity, for what I shall do to him, shall be forever remember amongst the people as something beyond brutality, something beyond human, something of which an savage would do...An act, which could be compared to the most dark and evil figures history has ever wrote, and I shall enjoy every minute of it, I shall smile as he screams for mercy..."
"...But perhaps I'm rusty on my skills, perhaps I should take a week off and make sure I still have what it takes by standing up against another contender...maybe..."
"...Or should I use it for a backup resort, being Shoot-Wrestling, fighting whatever he calls it must keep one busy...and tag-team......."
"...Perhaps the dawning shall ride soon enough..."
"...You wouldn't stand a chance against him..." A voice in the distance spoke
Raziel gripped his cane tighter and turned to the darkness beside him starring off into the darkness...
"...Who's there" He asked.
A shadow of a figure slowly drew closer and closer to the light, all that could be seen of this man was a brown robe and darkness shrouding his face.
"...You wouldn't last a second..."
"....Who do you think you are?"
"...That doesn't matter, but to let you know, your zeal, your anger, your lack of compassion....I like that in you, follow me and forget about your revenge for now, there shall be a time to get him, but there is someone you should meet..."
Both men slowly walk off into the darkness, Raziel still clinching on to his cane, where they are going we do not know as the scene fades back to inside the arena...
OW: Jones, SATAN scares you.
OZ: The only jobbers I'm afraid of are the Ambiguously Gay Duo.
RJ: I WASN'T STARING!
"You Know You're Right" by Nirvana blares across the arena, and the crowd jeers "The American Nightmare" Brian Storm. He doesn't pay too much attention to the fans as he steps into the ring, going through his normal warm-up routine in the center of the ring.
OW: Storm HAS to be hungry.
OZ: No doubt, he's been here a long time without a title. He's got to be focusing in on the Television or Shoot-Wrestling Championships. Tonight he has the shot at the Television, we'll see how it comes out.
RJ: He's definitely been working hard for it.
"Run Away" hits and the crowd gets on their feet for the high-flying young gold-plated superstar named Veritas. He carries his Television Championship around his waist, and his Tag-Team over his right shoulder, and smiles broadly at the camera.
OZ: Veritas has shown his eagerness by defending a week after he got the Television Championship.
OW: Fighting champions are always good.
RJ: Well men - I WASN'T STARING - and women - I REALLY WASN'T STARING ... honestly! - this match is on!

"The American Nightmare" |
versus |
Veritas (c) |
|
Storm and Veritas circle each other to start, and lock up in the center of the ring. Veritas gets the best of it, and shifts Storm into a side headlock, Storm pushes off and into the ropes and catches him on the rebound with a quick arm drag. Veritas is up and Storm goes for another arm drag but it's blocked and Veritas gives Storm a hip toss. Storm is up and Veritas sends him down with another hip toss. This time Brian goes to the outside for a powder and the fans cheer Veritas who motions for the American Nightmare to get back in the ring. Storm goes close to the ropes and Veritas reaches over the top trying to grab Storm's head to pull him back in, but Storm pulls the feet out from under Veritas and pulls him to the outside under the bottom rope. Storm gives him a couple stomps on the floor, and then whips him into the ringsteps. He sets the ringsteps back up, and he motions for a cradle piledriver and the fans are booing loudly as Storm tries to paralyze Veritas. Veritas is able to reverse it though, sending Storm up and over with a back body drop onto the mats. Veritas is able pull himself into the ring and roll back out to break the refs count. Veritas picks up Storm, but Brian Storm gives a 'low uppercut' between Veritas legs that is outside the refs field of vision. The male fans inhale sharply as Strom gets to his feet and Veritas is slightly hunched over. Storm lifts Veritas and drops him neck first across the baricade in front of the fans, following up with a knee to the side for good measure. He lifts Veritas back to his feet, and rolls him into the ring. Storm goes up top, and might be looking for the Broken Dreams. Veritas spots it however and is able to dive towards the ropes, causing Storm to drop and remain seated in a precarious position. Veritas sees his opportunity and is quick to climb up. HURRICANRANNA OFF THE TOP! Veritas is tired though, and can't capitalize for the cover. Instead both men are down and the ref begins to make the ten count. Veritas is able to roll himself onto his stomach and crawl over to Storm, throwing an arm across. ONE! TWO! Storm gets the shoulder up! The match continues as both men work to get to their feet. Veritas is still a little woozy and Strom grabs him with a fireman's carry and gets Veritas onto his shoulders, possibly looking for a Death Valley Driver or an F-5. However Veritas is able to wiggle himself down a bit and mess up Storm's center of gravity, sending him backwards with a crucifix rollup. ONE! TwO! KICKOUT BY STORM! The Nightmare isn't too pleased and goes right after Veritas, sending him into the corner and following with a hard clothesline. He sends Veritas to the opposite corner and goes for another charging clothesline, but this time Veritas to able to use the ropes to hop over, grab Storm's arms, and give him a backslide into another pin attempt. ONE! TWO! TH-KICKOUT! The fans are getting exhausted as Storm is getting very pissed off. Veritas tries to put the pressure on Storm with some punches, but Storm grabs the arm and spins Veritas into a full nelson. DRAGON SUPLEX! The fans gasp as Storm drops Veritas on his head, and Storm lifts him up, looking for more. He grabs the legs and lifts him up in a Gory Special, with Veritas hanging upside down, back to back with Storm. Storm hops up, drives Veritas' head into the mat. MARK OF CAIN!! MARK OF CAIN!! It looks to be over as Storm rolls Veritas over, and hooks the leg. ONE! TWO! THRE-KICK OUT!! KICK OUT!! The fans go crazy, and so does the Nightmare, but not in the same way. Veritas still looks out of it though, so Storm pulls Veritas into position near the ropes. He goes up top. BROKEN DREAMS!! But Veritas got his knees up in time. Storm holds his back in pain as Veritas tries to get back to his feet. Veritas picks Storm up, and puts him beside him, facing the other direction. REVERSE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Storm lays face down on the mat as Veritas hops up top. SHOOTING STAR PRESS ONTO THE BACK OF STORM!! Storm screams in pain, but Veritas has to roll off Storm and roll him onto his back. He goes for the cover. ONE! TWO! THREE! WAIT! The ref sees that Storm got his leg in the rope! The match continues! Veritas pulls himself up as Storm rolls out of the ring to regroup. He goes towards the announce table and grabs the Television Title belt. The ref is still checking on Veritas who may have hurt himself after the big Shooting Star Press. As Storm attempts to bring the belt into the ring, the fans give a mixed reaction as Walter Joseph Kovacs jumps the railing and goes to get the belt away from Brian Storm. A tug of war ensues and ultimately, Kovacs pulls the belt away from Storm, and Storm stumbles backwards, running into the steps. The referee turns just in time to see this, and he calls for the bell!! The fans boo loudly, and a few start a chant of "BULLSHIT!" as Storm is awarded the match thanks to interference by Walter Joseph Kovacs! Kovacs is in the ring right away, trying to tell the ref what really happened, but the ref motions that Kovacs had the belt in his hands, and he saw Storm get sent into the steps. Veritas grabs the belt from Kovacs and leaves the ring without saying a word to him, as Storm's music plays, and Kovacs continues to argue with the referee.
The two wrestlers, Brian Storm and Veritas are still in the ring. Suddenly the lights turn off, and "Hate Me Now" begins to play. The Rage-O-Vision clicks on and the words "KING EXTREME IS BACK" form from mist. They slowly disapate and "HATER" shows up next. Veritas just stares at it in wonder. The lights come back on, and no one other than Storm and Veritas is around.
OW: He Hate Me seems interested in the TV Title!
OZ: And Kovacs just cost Veritas the match!
RJ: Veritas is NOT going to be happy now. This is definitely not his night.
OW: What now?
OZ: Graham Pendleton is backstage!
Graham Pendleton stands backstage with papers in his hand. He hands a poster to STD, Mini-Meep, Gary Coleman, and Mr. T as they pass. Suddenly the door swings open and Alana stands at the entrance.
Alana (AL): Are you STILL passing those out?
Pendleton turns to her, and quickly hides the papers behind him back.
Graham Pendleton (GP): Umm ... no!
AL: Grow up, Graham. You've accomplished little in GCW lately. The way to be Rookie of the Year is actually fight in matches.
Alana spins on her heels and storms back into the locker room. Pendleton stands there, staring at his feet, as the scene fades back to the commentators.
OW: What have we got next?
OZ: The returning Turrican against the Shoot-Wrestling Champion, Walter Joseph Kovacs!
RJ: That is a match I've been looking forward to. Kovacs will show Turrican he can't compete.
OW: For the first time in a long time, Turrican is back on camera in front of a live GCW crowd in a GCW ring.
OZ: God bless America!
RJ: Where did that come from?
OZ: I'm a ninja!
"Whatever" by Our Lady Peace hits the speakers and the crowd boos the extremely arrogant, ass-kissing, bone-breakingingest man in Global Championship Wrestling, Walter Josph Kovacs. He walks down the ramp and gets into the ring, waiting for his opponent, Turrican.
OZ: We've certainly seen enough of WJK tonight.
OW: So has Veritas.
RJ: This is a different match, stop talking about the past. Kovacs did the right thing.
OZ: ... umm ... yeah.
The lights go out in the arena, and is filled with a bluish hue. The entrance ramp is faintly illuminated with green light and smoke as Folk Implosion's "Natural One" starts to play over the PA. Turrican emerges, wearing a tight, blood red shirt with tinges of white, black tights, and dark sunglasses.
OZ: Turrican certainly looks ready!
RJ: This is going to be a great match, buckle your seatbelts.
OW: Driving Force versus Technical Skill, we'll see this one NOW!

Walter Joseph Kovacs |
versus |
Turrican |
|
The bell rings and both men charge at one another and collide furiously in the centre of the ring. Both men grapple and Turrican uses his size to his advantage as he kicks Kovacs in the ribs and hits a double-axe handle to the back knocking down Kovacs. Turrican wastes no time as he picks up Kovacs but Kovacs hits him with a right-hand to the face of Turrican and delivers a drop toe hold knocking down both men. Kovacs quickly hops to his feet as does Turrican, both men grapple as Turrican lays in three right hands before grabbing Kovacs and hitting him down with a backbreaker! Turrican once again picks up Kovacs and Irish whips him across the rope, he goes for a clothesline but Kovacs slides under Turrican?s leg and grabs his right leg, pulling him down. Kovacs quickly applies his submissive skills and locks in the ankle lock on Turrican in the centre of the ring. You can see the pain on Turrican?s face as he slowly crawls for the ropes but Kovacs just puts more and more pressure on the hold. Slowly but surly Turrican is making his way to the ropes and yes! Turrican grabs the ropes as the referee orders Kovacs to break the hold. Kovacs then runs to the ropes and starts to stomp down on Turrican but the referee holds Kovacs back as Turrican picks himself up while holding onto the rope. Kovacs pushes the referee aside and dashes at Turrican as Turrican again uses his size as an advantage by shoulder-charging back at Kovacs knocking him back.. Turrican grabs Kovacs and hits him with a kick to the jaw sending Kovacs to the rope as Turrican runs at Kovacs and clotheslines both men over the top rope. The referee runs to the ropes and starts the traditional ten-count. As both men slowly stagger to their feet Kovacs kicks Turrican in the ribs and slams his face against the ring. He picks Turrican up and slides him under the bottom rope before sliding in himself to avoid disqualification. Kovacs gets up and quickly goes after Turrican. Kovacs grabs him and Irish whips him to the ropes and nails Turrican with a standing dropkick! Both men rise up to their feet but Kovacs is the first he goes after Turrican but Turrican lays in a right hand, and another, and another. Turrican then grabs Kovacs and executes a dragon suplex! Kovacs slowly takes a few steps toward Turrican and charges into a grapple. Kovacs quickly hip tosses Turrican to the ground and locks in an arm-bar on Turrican. Turrican quickly tries to break free his arm and after awhile does just that, he elbows Kovacs a few times to the head knocking him back. Turrican then grabs Kovacs and Irish whips him into the corner, he rushes over and hits Kovacs with a flying body-splash. Turrican then sets Kovacs up on the top ropes, and both men enter dangerous territory. Kovacs grabs Turrican and drags him across the ring, he then plants Turrican with a side-Russian leg sweep. Kovacs then begins stomping on the leg that he had wore down earlier and picks up Turrican and whips him into the corner. Kovacs runs up and goes for a quick attack but is met with Turrican?s boot. Kovacs tries again and Turrican sticks his boot up again. Kovacs backs up to the centre of the ring and Turrican charges at him using his weight to his advantage and knocking him down. Turrican picks up Kovacs and goes for the Northern Light Suplex, Bam! Kovacs is down and Turrican goes for the pin 1....2....*kick out* Turrican is furious, he goes to pick Kovacs up but Kovacs strikes Turrican in the face. OZ: TURRICAN WINS!
RJ: FLUKE! FLUKE!
OW: We have a nomination for the Hall of Fame ... next!
HALL OF FAME PROFILE:
Overlord
Gimmicks : Overlord, Commisioner Ross
Height/Weight : 7'0"/300 lbs. (Overlord) Unknown (Commisioner Ross)
Titles : World Title, Tag Title (w/ Psyberia), Georgia Title (x2), TV Title
Stables : Brotherhood (founder)
Overlord was one of the many gothic wrestlers of GCW, that seem to pop up every now and then. Overlord, however, was above and beyond the most dedicated to the 'gothic' concept. Living in the infamous castle at Dragon's Peak and weilding the legendary sword named Haedus, Overlord would seem better fit as the ruler of a dungeons and dragons universe than a wrestler. However, he did live up to his name as, at seven feet tall, he was among some of the largest wrestlers in GCW history. Not only that, but he was the first person to ever win a 'grand slam' in GCW, having held the Television, Georgia, Tag Team and World Championships at various points in his career before his retirement. When Overlord first entered the scene, he and Raven played mind games with each other, in what was ultimately lead to a Television Title match. However, the champion (Raven) retired and the title was vacated. A contendership match had already taken place, which had named Overlord the number one contender, and X-Pac the number two contender. At Holloween Horror 1999, Overlord defeated X-pac to claim his first championship. Overlord held the Television Championship for a record length that had only been beaten by the current record (co-held by Bloodstorm and the Executioner) until he ultimately lost the title to Johnny MacGrath. During the time, the main focus of GCW was on Forsaken 2000 and those that opposed them. The World, Georgia, Tag and Cruiserweight Titles were being contested between the top stars at the time : Scorpio, Stephen Frost, Hellraiser Mike Hoss and Jack Anthony. Things were shook up however at Coming Unglued. Scorpio retired, vacating the World Championship, and various new champions were crowned. In the aftermatch of Coming Unglued, Stephen Frost was the World Champion, Jack Anthony was Cruiserweight Champion, THEM were the Tag Champions and the Executioner was television champion. Hellraiser Mike Hoss, the Georgia Champion also retired, vacating the title. A match against Scott Steiner allowed Overlord to win the Georgia Title. At this point, Overlord was one of the few men to stand up to New Forsaken 2000, and actually achieve success. In several encounters he fended himself off against Steiner, preventing Forsaken from completing a full sweep of the titles. Teaming with rookie sensation Psyberia, Overlord was even able to defeat THEM for the tag titles, albeit for a short time before THEM regained them. The team of Overlord and Psyberia would be the original seed of what would be the Brotherhood, as Overlord first used the name at this point. Overlord continued on fighting Forsaken, feuding specifically with Scott Steiner, up until the 'Age of Workers', whose main result involved the destruction of Forsaken and its elder members. Stephen Frost retired, vacating the World Title. Jack Anthony retired with the Cruiserweight Title. A four man tournament was set up to crown a new champion. Although Overlord lost to Scott Steiner in the semi finals, Overlord was still the Georgia Champion. The following week, Overlord lost the Georgia Title to the Executioner, as Scott Steiner won the World Title. The following week, Overlord teamed with Hellraiser Mike Hoss against the Executioner and Scott Steiner, in a match up that declared the man who gets the pin or submission victory over their opponent to win the World Title. While the match is remembered as the end of THEM, Overlord also turned on his partner, ending his long run as one of the few 'heroes' in GCW. This lead to No Regrets, where he challenged Psyberia in a spectacular contest. Overlord was set to eventually face his long time rival, Scott Steiner, at Wrestlebowl II for the World Championship, but once again, things would not go so smoothly. Scott Steiner was fired amid scandal involving the infamous HBK, and the World Championship was vacated. In a match of formality, Overlord defeated the Executioner to win the World Championship. With the main event of Wrestlebowl II now missing, a legend from the past came out of retirement in an attempt to set things straight. Shamrock challenged Overlord for a title match at Wrestlebowl, and put his own career, and the Horsemen stable on the line, promissing if he were to lose, neither would step foot in GCW ever again. Due to the formation of the first official Brotherhood at WB II, Overlord retained, officially ending the career of Shamrock forever. Following Wrestlebowl II, Overlord had Johnny MacGrath and Executioner, the only two men to defeat him for championships in the past, and a skilled up and comer, Drago, were at his side in the Brotherhood, making him seemingly unbeatable. However, as Overlord seemed to grow complacent, first the Executioner and then Johnny MacGrath each turned on the Brotherhood in a bid to take Overlord's World Title. Thanks to the Brotherhood, neither attempt was succesful, and Overlord ultimately lost the title due to an injury, being run down by the Martyr before a triple threat match, once again at Holloween Horror. Eventually, Overlord returned to aide Psyberia defeat the Martyr for the vacant World Title, and again later on to aide the Martyr defeat Psyberia for the championship. During his final run in GCW Overlord was able to win the Georgia Title and help his Brotherhood against Drago's Brotherhood before he finally retired for good. Overlord would have his legacy live on in a number of ways, whether it be through He-Man references, the Brotherhood name, or red herrings to him being the father during the Brothers' Grimm saga. In addition to his in ring work, Overlord also wrote a number of matches, and spent a time as the commissioner of GCW before an official Vice President was named. This consisted of Overlord running GCW during Masked's absence for several weeks.
